Stephen James x Blackheath Rugby

September 2022 sees the start of an exciting new partnership between Stephen James Group and Blackheath Rugby. With both institutions well established in the South East London area, we are really looking forward to collaborating on and off the pitch, from involvement on matchdays to getting stuck in with Blackheath Rugby's work in the local community. Keep your eye out for special social media content and competitions to get you closer to the action and to our incredible vehicles!

The club currently play in National League 2 East, the fourth tier of the English rugby union system, with matches played at Well Hall, just off of the A2.

As well as partnering with Blackheath Rugby for the coming season, we are also proud to be sponsoring first team Fly-Half Tom Ffitch.

Growing up in Berkhamsted, Tom played for the Saracens Academy before joining the England 7’s, where he was also loaned on occasion to the Newcastle Falcons and played a number of Premiership and League games for them. He then signed for Loughborough, spending four years playing in National League 1 and Bucs, the university team.

Last season, Tom moved down to London and signed for Richmond but was persuaded to come to join Blackheath to play for our 1st XV this season and has already made a great impact.

"I was really fortunate to have a conversation with Blackheath about coming to play for them this season. The history and provenance of the club is known throughout the world, it is regarded as the home of Club of Rugby I am delighted to be a part of the club's future."
