Stepping into your MINI Countryman is always a special occasion. When you approach or leave your MINI, there is a welcome & goodbye orchestration that suits your mood. This includes the front and rear lights with three different selectable light signatures as well as a optional logo projection from both the passenger and the driver-side mirrors.

Everything you need is a just turn of a toggle away – from the parking brake to the gears to the MINI Experience Modes, and much more. The five intuitive controls have been relooked and redesigned and are now even easier to reach, use and play around with.
The fun starts the second you grip the steering wheel. Inspired by the timeless classic Mini we have given it a redesign, slightly reducing the size to give you an even more intense, classic contemporary MINI go-kart feeling. And instead of a third spoke it now features a stylish, decorative fabric strap. The left control panel lets you activate the driver assistance systems, and you can operate your entertainment and communication functions with the right panel.
MINI is establishing a whole new aesthetic through our use of textiles. The new material we use on the dash and door panels creates an especially comfortable ambience. The fabric is high-quality and easy to clean. It offers a luxurious tactile experience, more design options, and serves as the perfect canvas for showing your exciting projections in the different MINI Experience Modes. And we’ll continue to explore further ways to develop materials that fulfil the demanding criteria when it comes to feel, appearance and wear resistance.
Create a unique, multi-sensory experience for you and your passengers. Immerse yourself in different extraordinary worlds inside the MINI Countryman. Each mode follows its own creative design. And with the Personal mode you can even use the MINI App to select your own images from your smartphone gallery for the background of the MINI Interaction Unit. The colours of the ambient lighting and the optional Head-Up Display automatically adjust to suit the images you select. So indulge and bring your interior to life.
A full-featured voice assistant has found its way into the cockpit of the MINI models for the first time. The MINI Intelligent Personal Assistant can be activated using the greeting “Hey MINI” or by pressing the push-to-talk button on the steering wheel. Voice-controlled interaction on the circular OLED display takes the form of an animation featuring graphical elements, typography and an avatar. In terms of the display, drivers can choose between “MINI” – a stylised image of a MINI – and the new digital MINI assistant known as “SPIKE”, available as an optional extra.
The MINI Intelligent Personal Assistant operate key functions of your MINI, like the navigation, telephone, the radio or even control the temperature. Maybe there’s something you need to know about your journey. The weather. Or you have a special request. Even if it’s just for a little chat, or you want to hear a joke.
Driving is a breeze when you have a digital companion as well as access to a host of intelligent connectivity features that come standard, at no extra cost, that offer convenience, safety and connectivity. And should you want to equip your MINI with even more digital services, you can upgrade anytime.
In conjunction with the optional MINI Connected Package you have access to an ever growing range of practical features and entertaining apps, including options for gaming, music and video streaming.
You can now also look forward to a form of in-car gaming that is unique in the automotive sector. Drivers and passengers can play so-called casual games in the AirConsole app when the vehicle is stationary.
Music streaming apps like Spotify and Amazon Music have been adapted to the MINI Operating System 9 so that they integrate perfectly into the round MINI Interaction Unit, enabling MINI customers to enjoy an intuitive and visually appealing music streaming experience.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also available in the MINI Operating System 9 for wireless smartphone connectivity. Besides appearing on the MINI Interaction Unit, relevant information can also be shown on the optionally available Head-Up Display.
Keeping your MINI right up to date.
You can receive free over-the-air software updates and improvements for your MINI. And depending on the country, vehicle model, equipment and vehicle condition, you might even be eligible to receive additional new functions or functional improvements free of charge on a regular basis.
Our designers have come up with a smart Travel & Comfort System that allows various attachments to be quickly and easily put into place. Holders for your tablets, clothes hangers and universal hooks for bags can be securely attached to the backrests of the front seats. There are clever foldable cup holders – and now folding tables can also be attached as work or storage surfaces.
The highly versatile MINI Countryman is more than generous when it comes to space. It has space for five long-legged adults, and the back seats fold to offer extra boot space or legroom. You can create even more legroom or cargo space by sliding the rear bench back or forwards by as much as 13 cm. Whatever you are planning, you can quickly and easily change the layout to fit your needs.

The ALL4 all-wheel drive system distributes power dynamically between all wheels, giving you terrain-tackling traction and grip on all surfaces. And if it detects any loss of traction due to wet or icy surfaces, it shifts power dynamically as needed. This lets you take advantage of the rugged, adventurous nature of your MINI Countryman. So whatever the forecast holds, you stay in control – and in your element.
The optional Driving Assistant is like having an extra pair of eyes. It warns you about vehicles in the “blind spot” and if needed actively supports steering your MINI back into the lane. In addition it helps detecting crossing traffic behind you when you are reversing with your MINI. Driving Assistant Plus includes camera and radar-based driver assistance features. It makes getting to your destination more relaxing by automatically maintaining your desired speed, lane, and distance to the preceding vehicle.
With the Driving Assistant Professional you can lean back. It assists you in all kinds of traffic situations without taking control away from you.
As standard equipment there are three MINI Experience Modes to choose from to harness the different characteristics of your MINI Countryman and suit the traffic and your current needs. Each one has their own dedicated look.
